JaiHome was created to enable all devotees of the Self-Realization Fellowship/Yogoda Satsanga Society to travel to any countries around the world and be welcomed by other devotees who share the same vision of life, spiritual path, and ethical behavior based on friendship and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
The JaiHome project, created and managed by Italian devotees of the Self-Realization Fellowship, uses this website to connect devotees of the SRF/YSS who make their homes, apartments, or rooms available, with devotees who wish to travel and are looking for short-term accommodations.
Apartments, houses, and rooms may be offered free of charge, or through a home exchange agreement, or in exchange for a daily contribution toward expenses, as determined by the owner.
To access the website, as well as the functions of accommodation offer and request, you must enter your first name, last name, email address, and SRF/YSS member reference number in the login form and pay an annual membership fee of €20 to the non-profit association JaiHome, which operates the website.
This fee covers the costs of creating and managing the website, and implementing new features as the number of listings and accommodation requests grow.
As a promotion for the launch of the website, anyone who pays the membership fee in 2026 will be offered an additional year of membership free of charge (until December 31, 2027).
How to navigate the site
- On the JaiHome site, you will find three paths: trial path, homeowner path, guest path.
- If you want to take a look at the catalogue but haven’t decided whether you want to join yet, you can navigate the site using the trial path, which allows you to view just one accommodation and get an idea of how the listings section is structured.
- If you are a homeowner, once you have logged in, you will be directed to the form you need to fill out to submit your accommodation offer. You can choose whether to offer the accommodation for free, through a home exchange, or with a daily contribution to the expenses. In the form, you can specify the location and characteristics of the accommodation you want to put in the catalogue, indicating how far it is from the nearest SRF/YSS Center/Group/Circle, and the day and time of the SRF Services. You have to fill out one form for each accommodation you whish to offer.
- If you are a guest, once you have logged in, you will be directed to the listings page, which lists the various accommodation available. You can choose the location and type of stay you prefer: home exchange, free stay, or stay with expenses to be agreed upon with the owner.
The site has only recently become operational, and the catalogue currently has a limited number of offers, but in the course of time we plan to add many more, as this initiative becomes widespread among SRF/YSS devotees. Each of you can help us by informing about the existence of this site SRF/YSS devotees who might be interested in the project.
JaiHome’s service is limited to connecting owners and guests, providing information and indications to them. JaiHome doesn’t handle the agreements between owners and guests, nor are these agreements under its responsibilities.
If, at the end of a travel experience, guests and owners wish to leave a feedback, this will certainly be useful to those who might want to visit the same location and use the same accommodation in the future.
We like to think that traveling in this way is like drawing lines which connect souls across the world and help to create a network of harmony and friendship, giving rise to a community of universal brotherhood.
“May the spirit of unity we feel endure forever,” said our Guru. “May it vibrate through our souls, that we leave on this earth footsteps of love and friendship and understanding for others to follow to Thy shores of Eternity.” P. Yogananda
